Mothers Against Drunk Driving
Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) was organized to prevent drunk driving and underage drinking. Students have organized Students Against Drunk Driving (SADD) chapters in high schools. Find out how MADD and SADD are working in your community and how you can help in their efforts to make the roads safer. Create a poster, bulletin board, PowerPoint slides, video clip, or similar communication piece on how to reduce underage drinking.

Environmental Tobacco Smoke
Environmental tobacco smoke (secondhand smoke) has been linked with several health problems. Review the material presented on this National Cancer Institute's Web page and send a letter to a local restaurant on why they should become smoke-free. If your area does not allow smoking in restaurants or bars, pick a place where people have smoked around you and write about the health effects of changing this environment from smoke-filled to smoke-free.
